Ten finalists, who made it during the National Elimination Show, are expected to battle it out for the top prize of K5 million with those on second and third position receiving K2 million and K1 million, respectively.
The 10 contestants are Vanessa Nalikungwi (singer), Jonathan White (poet), The Invinsible Crew (dance), Chisomo Banda (poet), Kesia Saiwa (singer), Destination Talents (theatre), Beatus Msamange (poet), Temwa Kaunda (singer), Samuel Phiri (percussionist) and Felicity Thunyani (contortionist).
Chairperson for the organising team Wonder Msiska, who is also Times Television Station Manager, said all was set for the grand finale and called upon families to patronise the event.
“There is so much that people will sample on the day. This is a family event and it appeals to everyone. This is why we decided to bring Soldier Lucius Banda, Benedicto Wokomaatani Malunga, Zeze Kingston and Keturah to appeal to everyone,” Msiska said.

He said it has been a long journey full of fun and excitement in Malawi Has Talent season one, starting off with the auditions before going to the National Elimination Show to the grand finale.
“We also have a variety of talents among the finalists and, so, people will see different things from dance, music, poetry, drama and contortionism,” he said.
Lucius said yesterday he was looking forward to the event and hailed the Times Group and First Capital Bank for creating a platform aimed at unearthing talent and also empowering young people.
“Apart from performing, I am also going there to see the talents from young people. I am also excited to share the stage with Benedicto Wokomatani Malunga,” the ‘Mabala’ star said.
