Airtel Top 8 champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Tuesday reached an agreement with Qatari club Muaither Sports Club for the transfer of captain and midfielder Lloyd ‘Banega’ Aaron.
Bullets confirmed the sale of the player on their official website Tuesday.
The team did not disclose the transfer fee of the Flames midfielder.
However, Times Sport has established that Bullets will receive K192 million from the sale of the player.
In an interview yesterday, Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga said both the club and the player were happy with the deal. “It is a good deal for us and also for the player. Our policy is that we do not disclose the transfer fee but we are very happy,” Chigoga said.

Chigoga said the 24- year old midfielder was expected to fly out of the country to Qatar this afternoon.
But Chigoga said apart from Muaither, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) giants TP Mazembe and newly promoted Betway Premiership side Durban City FC were also interested in the player.
“We received offers from Mazembe and Durban. But after proper assessment, we settled for Muaither. We believe the player will advance his football career,” Chigoga said.
He said Durban Technical Director Ernest Mindeldorp, specifically wanted to have a further assessment on Aaron and other players.

The former Kaizer Chief mentor watched the 2025 Airtel Top 8 final as Bullets beat Silver Strikers 4-3 on post-match penalties at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday.
The 24-year old joined Bullets from Lilongwe’s Civil Service United before the start of the 2024 season.
He has won the Airtel Top 8 twice in two seasons in 2024 and 2025 with Bullets, having made 54 appearances, scoring one goal and six assists.
Aaron was named Bullets captain this season.
The Flames midfielder had unsuccessful trials with Italian side Udinese while at Civil in 2022.

Meanwhile, South African soccer publication, Soccer Laduma has confirmed that Durban are interested in signing Bullets attacking midfielder Chikumbutso Salima and defender Blessings Mpokera.
Durban chairperson Farouk Kadodia was quoted as saying the purpose of Middeldorp visit was to assess the duo.
“Yes, our Technical Director was in Malawi to look at the players and we are happy with the players. We have contacted the team’s CEO and now we are waiting for his response before we can say much. But the interest is there,” he was quoted as saying.
Chigoga also told Soccer Laduma that they have engaged the services of South Africa renowned agent Mike Makaab to facilitate the deals for the two players.
“They are happy with them and now we have engaged the services of Mike Makaab to facilitate the move. So everything is in process now,” Chigoga told Soccer Laduma.
The duo has been integral for Bullets in both the Airtel Top 8 and the TNM Super League under the tutelage of Peter Mponda this season.
Early this month, Bullets sold midfielder Yankho Singo to South African side Lamontville Golden Arrows FC.
Last year, the club sold forwards Patrick Mwaungulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma to Mazembe.
