Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has fined FCB Nyasa Big Bullets K3.5 million for being found guilty of misconduct.
This follows the incident that happened during their FDH Bank Premiership match against Ekhaya Football Club as some fans threw some bottles onto the pitch in protest against some referee’s decision.
The incident caused a temporary stoppage of the match which ended goal-less at Mpira Stadium on July 19,2026.
In a statement Friday, Sulom said the league’s governing body Disciplinary Committee found the People’s Team guilty of misconduct.
The statement says Bullets risk points deduction should a similar incident occur in the near future.

“FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has been fined a total of K3.5 million and a directive that they risk lose maximum points in future should they be found in a similar disorder. Sulom remains committed to upholding discipline and integrity in the league,” Sulom statement reads.
The league governing body urged clubs to sensitise their supporters, players and fans on the importance of preserving law and order.”
In an interview yesterday, Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga condemned the behaviour of the fans.
“It is a strong message to our fans that football does not condone misconduct. It is uncivilised in modernity to contest referee’s decisions even if it is clear that they are in the wrong. Such incidents will now be reported to police to arrest the perpetrators,” Chigoga said.
