United States (US)- based Malawian striker Temwa Chawinga scored for Kansas City Current in a 2-0 victory over Bay FC at PayPal Park on Saturday night.

The Kansas website reported Sunday that Temwa sealed the victory in the 92nd minute after forward Michelle Cooper opened the scoring in the 45th minute of the match.
“Chawinga then sealed the match in the second minute of second-half stoppage time. Forward Nichelle Prince began the play, intercepting the ball near [the] midfield and pushing it forward for Chawinga.
“Chawinga took the ball on a run from midfield and raced through the Bay FC defence, fending off defender for one-on-one opportunity with silkowtz.
