On Friday, management and staff of Times Group gathered at its headquarters in Blantyre to celebrate the achievements.
The company’s Managing Director Leonnard Chikadya said he was proud that the media house came out the best in the Misa Malawi Awards.
He expressed delight that Times Group has retained the print and television media awards this year.
“The success has not come on its own but because of the hardworking spirit and unity in the company’s team. The Board of Directors were overjoyed when they heard about the good news,” Chikadya said.

Editor-in-Chief Pilirani Kachinziri said success is possible if people work hard and in unity.
He added that discipline and commitment are the core values that drive employees at the media house, hence the success.
“Last year, I made an assurance that this year, we will be having this celebration again. Indeed, we have gathered today to celebrate our victory as a company. Let us maintain discipline and stick to our editorial policy so that we can serve the public to the expected standards,” Kachinziri said.
He commended all members of staff for their individual contributions towards the awards.
At the occasion, Times Group awarded its reporters who scooped individual accolades at Misa Awards gala which was held last month in Mangochi.
