TotalEnergies Marketing Limited has taken the long-running $480 million (about K824 billion) fuel dispute involving the Malawi Government and Prima Fuels into three separate court jurisdictions, triggering fresh legal battles in Malawi, the United Kingdom (UK) and South Africa over the same claim.
The case returns to the High Court Commercial Division in Lilongwe tomorrow, where TotalEnergies is expected to apply for the matter to be struck out on grounds that the court lacks jurisdiction.
