Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Caps United have signed Flames forward Lloyd Njaliwa on a two-year contract.
This follows the expiry of his contract with Mozambican side Costa do Sol, where he spent three years.
In an interview, Njaliwa said the deal had been agreed in principle.
“It is a done deal. We have finalised all the paperwork. What remains is the unveiling ceremony,” the former Moyale Barracks forward said.

Njaliwa, who is one of the key players for the Flames, is expected to join his new team-mates next week.

“I am looking forward to a new challenge. I have played in Mozambique for three years and I have improved as a player. But I think the Zimbabwe league is a good opportunity for me to showcase my talent,” Njaliwa said.
Caps are undergoing a massive rebuilding exercise, having already signed 11 players ahead of next season.
The players are Wallace Magalene, Nyasha Gurende, Kudzwai Chigwida, Richard Hachiro, Bret Amidu, Talent Chamboko, Macdonald Makuwe, Derrick Murimba, Obriel Chirinda, Davison Marowa and Malawian Chawanangwa Kaonga.
Kaonga joined Caps after the expiry of his contract with Zambian side Zanaco. New coach Takesure Chiragwi is reportedly interested in signing more players ahead of the season.

Meanwhile, Caps have started talks with Silver Strikers over the possibility of signing midfielder Uchizi Vunga.
Silver Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba confirmed the development Tuesday.
“We started talks three weeks ago. There was interest from Caps, but nothing concrete has been agreed at the moment,” Chimimba said.
It appears Caps have cooled their interest in Vunga following the arrival of Njaliwa.
Caps officials were not readily available for comment yesterday.
Apart from Kaonga and Njaliwa, Caps also have former Flames midfielder Joseph Kamwendo, who is the coach for the developmental teams.
Kamwendo returned to Caps after 20 years.
While playing for Caps, he became the first foreign player to win the Zimbabwe PSL Player-of-the-Season award in 2005.
