Portland Cement Limited (PCL), a subsidiary of Huaxin Building Materials Group, yesterday launched its $100 million (about K173 billion) integrated cement factory in Balaka District with commitment to help ease supply challenges. The plant, built in the past 11 months, has a daily production capacity of 2,000 tonnes of clinker and an annual cement production capacity of 800,000 tonnes.
