A window of opportunity has opened for four gospel musicians, who are expected to undertake an Easter tour of the United Kingdom (UK) for worship performances this year.
The four gospel musicians are Theresa Phondo, Chigo Grace, Frank Chimpanzi and Paul Kachala.
United Praise, led by its chairperson Chris Chikotho, has organised the tour.
Chokotho says in a statement that they are excited to invite the four artists to minister in the UK, marking a milestone for Malawian gospel music on the global stage.
“This invitation is more than just an opportunity to perform; it is a vital step towards exposing Malawian gospel music to wider audiences in Western nations,” he said.

Chokotho said, for too long, talented artists in the country have lacked exposure they deserve in countries like UK, where gospel music is appreciated.
“Malawian voices have been underrepresented. Many fans and supporters in UK have often asked why there are not more gospel shows featuring Malawian artists. This visit aims to bridge that gap, sharing the powerful message of God through music and inspiring believers across the globe,” he said.
Chokotho said the tour is also a chance to showcase the rich spiritual musical talent from Malawi.
Theresa, a product of Zathu Band, who has made strides in her music, said yesterday that she was excited to be part of the Easter UK tour.

“This will be my first time performing in the UK as a solo act. To see God open this door [and] to carry the sound is [a] huge [opportunity]. He has placed in my heart to a new audience. I am expectant, I am grateful and I am ready,” the ‘Yewo’ and ‘Nditayenda Nanu’ maker said.
Chigo Grace said it was a blessing for her to be part of the tour.
“I am excited. Sharing the stage with such great ministers is encouraging and means the vision is growing. I see it as an opportunity to serve God beyond the borders and represent Malawi well,” she said.
Chimpanzi said he counted it as a blessing to be part of the tour.
“It is a new season and a great opportunity for Malawi to export a unique anointing of praise and worship overseas. I am excited and ready to be used by God through this concert. For sure, God is going to touch people through our powerful songs,” the ‘Bwerani’ star said.
Kachala was not readily available for his comment Tuesday.
