The country is this weekend chockfull with lots of events, topmost on the bill being Malawi Has Talent season one grand finale to be held at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
It has been a long ride in Malawi Has Talent season one driven by The Times Group in partnership with First Capital Bank (FCB), starting off with registration and then auditions before moving to the national elimination show and now it is the grand finale.
Ten finalists in different art forms have made it to the grand finale, with the winner set to walk away with K5 million, with those on second and third position pocketing K2 million and K1 million, respectively.
The 10 contestants are Vanessa Nalikungwi (singer), Jonathan White (poet), The Invinsible Crew (dance), Chisomo Banda (poet), Kesia Saiwa (singer), Destination Talents (theatre), Beatus Msamange (poet), Temwa Kaunda (singer), Samuel Phiri (percussionist) and Felicity Thunyani (contortionist).
Legends musician Soldier Lucius Banda and poet Benedicto Wokomaatani Malunga alongside Local Girl Keturah and amapiano star Zeze Kingston will spice up the grand finale.

Chairperson for the organising team Wonder Msiska, who is also Times Television Station Manager, said all was set for the grand finale and called upon families to patronise the event.
“There is so much that people will sample on the day. This is a family event and it appeals to everyone. This is why we decided to bring Soldier Lucius Banda, Benedicto Wokomaatani Malunga, Zeze Kingston and Keturah to appeal to everyone,” Msiska said.
FCB Head of Marketing and Communication Twikale Chirwa said Malawi should expect to identify top talent in season one but also be treated to a thrilling grand finale.
“It is a grand finale which will combine music and arts in general. This should encourage talent out there to come out and contest in season two,” Chirwa said.

Alfonso said the move will also help them reach out to buyers and various players to engage them on the collections.
