Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Central Region vice president Alfred Gangata has come under fire over remarks analysts say contradict President Peter Mutharika’s call for a new Malawi.
Gangata is on record to have told people who gathered at a political rally held at Chilimampunga ground in Lilongwe on Sunday that there was a need to reward DPP members who contributed to the September 16, 2025 Presidential Election victory as a token of appreciation.
