When Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera sat down in Lilongwe to address Malawians Monday, what came out clearly is that nothing, not even the loss in the September 16, 2025 Presidential Election, had shaken his faith in God.
As far as Chakwera is concerned, the electoral loss was a test from God to prove the party’s commitment to the people of this country.
“A test to prove that we will only use our pain to do a postmortem that listens to and learn from the reasons that caused Malawians to vote the way they did”, Chakwera said.
