President Peter Mutharika has dismissed former president Lazarus Chakwera’s claim that the recent arrests of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leaders are “politically motivated”.
The President says, unlike arrests made during Chakwera’s time, when, he says, some cases did not reach their logical conclusion, his administration respects the rule of law.
