Baka City have earmarked suspended Silver Strikers assistant coach Etson Kadenge Mwafulirwa and former Civil Service United coach Oscar Kaunda to head the team’s technical panel ahead of their TNM Super League debut.
Currently, Kadenge Mwafulirwa has a running contract with the Central Bankers until next year.
Baka General Secretary Jones Mockton said they were hunting for a coach as their current coach Davie Miyombe does not have a Caf B coaching badge to be eligible to coach in the elite league.
“Discussions with the potential coaches are underway but we will issue a statement regarding the incoming coach.

“We have engaged several coaches including Christopher Nyambose who left Tigers. We are also in discussion with Kaunda and Kadenge. However, it is too early to disclose who will be our head coach,” Mockton said.

On his part, Kadenge Mwafulirwa was reluctant to comment on the matter insisting that he was still attached to Silver.
“I have a contract with Silver which runs up next year despite not being with the team for the past five months. It is hard to comment on the matter, Kadenge Mwafulirwa said.
Kaunda and Nyambose could not be reached to comment.
Baka won the Simso Northern Region Football Association Premier Division championship with 31 points from 14 matches.
