Robin’s Park in Blantyre was on Saturday jam-packed as it played host to a Blantyre City Heist show spearheaded by rapper Charisma.
Charisma, real name Madalitso Kantema, added to the list of the few artists, in recent times, who have managed to fill the venue to its capacity especially tiled by a rich line-up that included musician of the moment Christina Kholiyo, popularly known as Jetu.
Dominated by young people, the concert lived up to its billing, serving people the much needed showbiz although it got disrupted by teargas, which was thrown following chaotic scenes outside the venue towards the end, with some acts such as Zeze Kingston not performing.
The headliner Charisma offered his short set with a stint of collaborations from artists such as Eli Njuchi, Achina Gattah Ase and Gwamba and his entry was epic.

Although she has a few songs, Jetu, supported by her grandson Emm Dee and dancers, kept the stage sparkling but it was the track ‘Chakwaza’ which has garnered her more views on YouTube that had the audience singing along.
“Thank you for the support, we do not take it for granted,” Emm Dee told the audience before giving away some T/shirts.
With all the fun that people experienced coupled with singing and dancing, the show’s script ended poorly as teargas was thrown outside the venue where there were chaotic scenes.
