Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) Board Member Susan Namangale has resigned.
Namangale said Wednesday that she resigned to focus on her political ambition ahead of the September 16, 2025 Local Government, Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.
She said decision was in compliance with Malawi’s legal framework regarding public office and political participation.
“I made this decision to respect the laws of the country. I want to concentrate on my political journey. I intend to contest as Member of Parliament for Nkhotakota Central Constituency,” Namangale said.

She expressed gratitude to Chakwera for trusting her with the responsibility.
Her resignation comes at a time several individuals are declaring interest in contesting for parliamentary seats.
Namangale is among eight aspirants for Nkhotakota Central Constituency.
