The High Court sitting at its commercial division premises in Blantyre has dismissed an application for judicial review in a case bordering on Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec)’s election management devices (EMDs).
In the case, the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), UTM and concerned citizens wanted to carry out an independent audit of EMDs before Mec could administer the September 16, 2025 Local Government, Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.
