Former Silver Strikers coach Daniel Kabwe has made himself available for the vacant coaching job at Mighty Mukuru Wanderers saying he has unfinished business in domestic football.
Kabwe, a serial winner, delivered at Silver in his first season in which he won the FDH Bank Cup in 2021.
However, he was fired just 11 matches into the second season after a string of poor results.
In an interview from his base in Lusaka, Zambia yesterday, the former Zanaco FC coach said he will apply for the Wanderers job.
“I am interested in the Wanderers job. Actually, I am pushing for my application. I will apply by Monday,” Kabwe said.

Kabwe, who guided Silver to position two in the 2021 season, said if given a chance to manage Wanderers, his first target will be to win the TNM Super League.
“I know a lot about Malawi football now. They have a very good team [Wanderers] capable of winning the league championship. I will not promise the sun and the moon but I can turn them into champions again,” he said.
In his first season, Silver finished as Airtel Top 8 runners-up after they lost 5-3 to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium in 2021.
Kabwe, a Confederation of African Football (Caf) A Licence holder, is unattached in Zambia since he was fired at Silver.

The Nomads are hunting for the replacement of Mark Harrison who resigned after failing to win any silverware in the just ended season.
Harrison is now coach for Mozambican side UD Songo.
Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Roosevelt Mpinganjira was not available for his comment yesterday.
Sports analyst Sherry Msuku, who is a former Wanderers player, said the club should go for a local coach.
“We have capable coaches in Malawi but they lack support. Wanderers are a big club and they will get a good coach,” Msuku said.

Former Flames coach Meck Mwase has also been linked with Wanderers.
However, Mwase said that no club has approached him.
“I am surprised with the rumours because I have not talked to any team,” Mwase said.
Former Wanderers coach Alex Ngwira has also been linked with the job.
“I am ready to come back to Wanderers if they give me a chance,” Ngwira said.
Wanderers finished the season empty handed for the second time in three years.
The team has gone five years without winning the TNM Super League.
