South African celebrated Amapiano star DJ Mapholisa will perform in the country tonight during the grand opening of Illusionz Bar, Restaurant and Club in Lilongwe.
DJ Mapholisa— real name Themba Sekowe— who is also known as Madumane, is expected to share the stage with local acts such as Zeze Kingston and DJs Reubie and Mr X and VJ Ice.
The artist comes into the country barely two weeks after another South African Amapiano act DJ Tyler ICU performed at Green Valley in Blantyre during Piano Fest organised by Beerland.

Castel Malawi Central Region Sales Manager Nkhwachi Mhango said during a cheque presentation event that the model behind the club is different from other clubs, hence they decided to boost its capacity to reach international prospects.
“I am excited to say that, inside the club, there is a Castel corner and an innovation of Italian corner,” Mhango said.
Illusionz Bar, Restaurant and Club Director Martin Nyirenda said the country has a gap in international standard clubs, hence their existence is aimed at filling this gap.
“We are grateful to Castel Malawi for the sponsorship, which will cushion other expenses,” Nyirenda said.
