By Isaac Salima & Richard Chirombo:
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets returned to the summit of the TNM Super League after beating Extreme FC 3-0 at Kamuzu Stadium Sunday.
However, it was a bad day for fellow title contenders as Silver Strikers and Chitipa United lost by narrow margins.
Following the results, Bullets have displaced Silver at the top after the Bankers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Red Lions at Balaka Stadium.
Chitipa dropped to third position after losing 1-0 to Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar at Dedza Stadium.

At Kamuzu Stadium, Patrick Mwaungulu, Yamikani Fodya (penalty) and Anthony Mfune scored Bullets’ goals to take their team’s tally to 34 points from 17 games.
Bullets missed the services of some key players due to injury and suspensions and were not at their usual best.
However, the league debutants, who contained the People’s Team for the better part of the match, lacked a clear game plan to get something from the match.
Bullets missed several chances in the first half as they were not clinical enough in front of goal.

The visitors struggled to create chances and the first half ended without a goal attempt.
Fodya scored the second goal from the penalty spot after Extreme goalie Blessings Juma fouled Bullets substitute Ephraim Kondowe.
Mfune finished the demolition later to condemn the visitors to the bottom of the log table with 10 points from 17 games.
Extreme Coach Andrew Bunya claimed that the officiating personnel spoiled the match.
“We were doing well but our players were put off due to the questionable penalty. The referee had a hand in our defeat,” he said.
Bullets mentor Kalitso Pasuwa admitted that his team is struggling as they keep on changing players due to reasons such as injuries.
“Most teams come hard on us,” he said.
At Balaka Stadium, James Gondwe scored the lone goal of the match as Lions beat Silver. The Bankers dropped to second position with 32 points from 17 games, whereas Lions moved out of the bottom three with 18 points from 17 games.
At Dedza Stadium, striker Clement Nyondo gave the hosts an important win through a first-half penalty as they stopped Chitipa.
Chitipa are third with 32 points from 17 matches while Dynamos are seventh with 22 points from the same number of matches.
