FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have threatened to take unspecified action against the team’s supporters who do not follow right channels when presenting grievances.
This comes after seven coordinators penned the team’s hierarchy, calling for immediate suspension of one supporters’ executive committee member.
The coordinators, drawn from seven districts in the Southern Region, have called for the indefinite suspension of one member of the supporters’ committee [name withheld].
The coordinators are accusing the official of working in isolation and interfering with work of the technical panel.
“It is alleged that [name and position withheld] is very much interfering with affairs of the technical committee to the extent that he shouts at the players and technical staff at will,” the letter reads.

The letter also calls for investigations into the reports to avoid a repeat of violence that marred Bullets’ TNM Super League match against Silver Strikers.
However, Bullets Vice President Escort Chinula told the coordinators to follow the right channel within the club’s structures to avoid plunging the team into confusion.
“We have structures a Bullets and such grievances are channelled through such structures. We have to follow procedures to avoid destroying what we have built. The coordinators should have raised their concerns within the club’s structures rather than leaking [the letter] to the media,” Chinula said.
He also said investigations into the violence that erupted at Kamuzu Stadium soon after Chinsinsi Maonga scored a late goal for Silver were underway.

“We will not shield anyone but let the law take its course,” Chinula said.
