After a season of mixed fortunes most top flight league teams are set to regroup tomorrow in readiness for the 2024 season.
The season will kick-off on March 30 with the Charity Shield before the TNM Super League starts a week later.
Capital City giants Silver Strikers, who unveiled Coach Peter Mponda on Sunday, started their preparations last week when the players underwent medical tests.
Silver Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba said Mponda was expected to meet his charges Monday, after signing a year deal with the Central Bankers.
“The team regrouped on Wednesday when the players did their medicals. They had aerobics on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

“Today [Monday], the aerobics session is on. This is the time our new coach will have time to interact with players and then he will start drilling the team,” Chimimba said.
Last season, Silver failed to win a trophy under coach Pieter de Jongh who resigned.
Meanwhile, quadruple winners are not relaxing after disclosing plans to regroup tomorrow at Blantyre Sports Club.

Bullets Chief Administration Officer Albert Chigoga said their technical staff will have a light training session with the players before going into serious business next week.

“All players are expected to report for training. We will also have a medical report on players who were side-lined last season due to injuries. We had players who did not finish the second round of the 2023 season. The medical report will help us where we stand,” Chigoga said.
Other Super League teams that have regrouped in readiness for the new season are Moyale Barracks, Kamuzu Barracks and Mighty Tigers FC.
The trio regrouped last week with players undergoing trials.
Moyale will be under the guidance of Pritchard Mwansa, who guided Mafco to two cup finals, while Tigers have roped in coach Leo Mpulula.
