Malawi’s tea output declined in the first half of 2026 by 6.5 percent, with industry players faulting it on adverse weather conditions. In its 2026 first half Business and Economic Review to the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI), says between January and June, tea production stood at 29.44 million kilogrammes (kg).
