Central Region Hockey League (CRHL) has expressed hope that Milanzi Interiors would continue supporting the body.
This follows the recently held Fast5Field Tournament at Tiger Sports in the capital city.
At the event, Night Eagles and Capital Brave Ladies were crowned first winners of the CRHL’s inaugural Fast5Field Tournament.
CRHL interim Publicity Secretary Boniface Nguluwe said they had done enough to lure Milanzi Interiors to continue supporting the league.
“The tournament was exciting and competitive. All the teams showed great passion and desire to win. We thank Milanzi Interior for supporting us and we believe we did everything possible to sway them,” he said.

Hockey Association of Malawi President Wanthaza Mughogho hailed the sponsors for the support.
“We are excited and happy that the event was successful. It is the first time to have such a tournament in the Central Region and we are pleased with the outcome.
“A big thank you to the sponsors, Milanzi Interiors. It is a company that can be trusted and their work is excellent. It is our hope that they continue sponsoring hockey,” Mughogho said.
On their part, Milanzi Interiors Senior Architect Scott Weale said the sponsorship was one way of empowering the youth.
“Supporting hockey is one of our strategic focuses. We, as a company, would like to empower the youth. We will continue to sponsor and explore other areas to ensure that we support the sport,” he said.
Milanzi Interiors Chief Executive Officer Samantha Milanzi said her company stepped in to support the tournament after noting that the league had gone several years without any tangible financial support.
Milanzi said it was her company’ vision to ensure that many youths in minority sports had support to realise their full potential.
