Andrew Dalo from Mtoso in Chirimba, Blantyre, has been bedridden for almost three years after suffering spinal disc damage in a motorbike accident.
Now unemployed, he relies on relatives and close friends for support as he can no longer work.
He spends about K117,000 on gabapentin, a painkiller for his condition, which lasts only 15 days. This means he requires about K234,000 each month.
