Purported eyewitnesses to the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) plane crash that killed then vice-president Saulos Chilima and eight others in Nthungwa, Nkhata Bay District, are expected to give evidence when the parliamentary ad hoc committee investigating the incident visits the site next week.
The visit will give the committee an opportunity to hear from community members who may have witnessed the aircraft’s final moments, as it continues its inquiry into the June 10, 2024 crash.
