FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa has praised midfielder Wongani Lungu for settling quickly in the team’s setup.
Lungu, who joined Bullets from Mzuzu City Hammers during the mid-season player transfer window, has been a mainstay of the team in recent matches.
Following Lungu’s impressive performance, fellow midfielder Lloyd Aaron is no longer a guaranteed starter at Bullets.
Pasuwa, who is known for squad rotation, said Lungu had impressed during both training and matches.
“We, at Bullets, have adopted a modern way of analysing our players. We prefer a player who can defend and attack at the same time and also [a player] with good recovery rate and Lungu is perfectly doing that at the moment,” Pasuwa said.

After being on the bench for three consecutive matches, Aaron was restored to the Bullets starting line-up against Mighty Tigers in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
On the other hand, Lungu was rested Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s Airtel Top 8 final against Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
Weighing in on the issue, sports analyst Roy Abramo M’dechi said Aaron could struggle to regain his place in the starting line-up.
“Banega is more experienced than Lungu but needs to up his game by improving on his final touch and recovery rate,” M’dechi said.

Before Wednesday, Aaron was on the bench during the Airtel Top quarterfinal second leg match against Civil Service United at Civo Stadium.
He was also on the bench during the Blantyre derby against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in the TNM Super League.
The former Civil midfielder was introduced in the second half against Kamuzu Barracks in the Airtel Top 8 semi-final match last Sunday.
Lungu has been a guaranteed starter in the last three matches for Bullets alongside Yankho Singo.
