Following its recent announcement of a comeback, Lake of Stars Festival has made new moves calling for artists for its 2024 Reactivated edition to be held at Fish Eagle Bay Lodge in Nkhotakota from September 6 to 8.
The festival organisers say on their social media platform that the call for applications is now open.
“Take advantage of an opportunity to shine on Malawi’s global stage and to collaborate with other artists from around the world,” reads a statement from the festival, which is making a debut outing in Nkhotakota.
The deadline for the call is May 31 2024.
Lake of Stars Festival spokesperson Zilanie Gondwe could not be drawn to shed more light on the issue yesterday but she indicated that people should watch the space for more announcements including the line-up of artists.

The organisers have also made a call for vendors to be part of the festival and sell their products and services to a local and global market with the deadline being the same with that of artists.
The festival, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, has also started selling early bird tickets which will expire on May 31 2024.
Founded by Will Jameson in 2004 at Chintheche Inn in Nkhata Bay, Lake of Stars has hosted several artists, both local and international, at venues such as Kachere Castle in Nkhata Bay, Kabumba Hotel in Salima and Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.
