Football Legends Association (FLA) has lauded the appointment of its Second Vice Board Chairperson Justin Saidi as the Chief Secretary in the administration of President Arthur Peter Mutharika.
FLA Board Chairperson Jim Kalua said they expect Saidi to continue serving as the body’s second vice president as he was not flouting the association’s constitution.
“As a board chair of the football legends I am very excited with his appointment. We are very excited and thankful to the president for appointing Dr. Saidi. Dr. Saidi is an exceptional person. We know how he works and we have transformed football legends together, achieving a lot of milestones.
“Personally, I am not surprised, he is just the right person and I am sure you will see how he will perform. As a body, we are very excited to have one of us being appointed in one of the strategic and key positions in government,” Kalua said.
The FLA founder urged other members within the legends body to emulate Saidi’s commitment and hardworking gesture when given assignments.

However, Kalua, who first established JK Productions which graduated to FLA, said they expected Saidi to be preoccupied with his office as he serves national interests.

“We know he will be having limited time because he needs to concentrate much on the national duty which has been assigned. Nevertheless, he will always be part of us even though it will be difficult for him to work fully the way he used to do. But be assured that he is our member and still our second vice board chairperson,” he said.
Kalua also hailed FLA First Board Vice Chairperson Noel Lipipa and member Arnold Kadzanja for winning parliamentary seats.
Meanwhile, Saidi said he was grateful to the president for the appointment and hailed the legends family for the support.
