Plastic manufacturers in Malawi have pledged to comply with the directive to stop producing thin plastic bags and to encourage other producers to do the same, following a meeting with Minister of Natural Resources Patricia Wiskes.
Abdul Mussa, Chairperson of the Plastics Manufacturers Association and Managing Director of Flexopack Plastics Limited, said the industry is ready to work with government to meet environmental standards.
