Similarly, Mvula was elusive over the matter,
“Indeed there was a disciplinary hearing concerning the person you have alluded to. We have submitted a report of findings to the board. We are waiting for their decision.
“Unfortunately we cannot make the report public until the board gives its direction. I am sorry I wish I was able to say something more concrete,” he said.
The official appeared before a disciplinary hearing on Monday where he was charged with three counts including gross misconduct and forgery.
“It is being alleged that on divers dates between the month of March to September, 2023 or thereabout you committed the Company to financial transactions with money lenders without the consent of the Board or Management and that the said transactions were singularly made by yourself for your own benefit.
“At the same time as in the above, it is being alleged that you used the Company’s letterhead when committing the company to financial transactions with money lenders without the approval of the Board or Management for your personal gain or benefit. It is further being alleged that during the same period and time you forged a signature of Director [name withheld] when you were borrowing some money from the alleged money lenders without the knowledge or consent of the said Mr [name withheld],” the summon which the club’s chief execute officer Roosevelt Mpinganjira wrote dated 17th September 2023.
Our findings show that the official accepted the charges by writing two letters that he forged signatures and used the club’s logo without consent.
