Newly appointed Competitions and Marketing Committee Chairperson Felister Dossi has pledged to champion reforms to transform the game in the country.
Dossi, who is Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Executive Committee Member, has replaced Fam first vice president Jabba Alide, who did not seek re-election during the association’s polls held in Mzuzu last month.
Dossi told Times Sport that it was an honour for her to lead the committee of fellow football administrators.
“We, as a committee, are yet to meet to come up with a strategy which will be aligned to the manifesto of Transforming the Game but expect few changes for sure. The committee is very critical in fulfilling the football transformation journey that we are about to embark on,” she said.
Fellow executive committee member Daudi Mtathiko has been appointed vice chairperson, having replaced National Women’s Football Association (NWFA) Chairperson Adelaide Migogo.

The committee is responsible for organising and monitoring competitions of Fam, notably football, futsal and beach soccer at any level within Fam in compliance with provisions of the Statutes and regulations applicable to Fam’s competitions.
Other members of the new committee are Super League of Malawi (Sulom) General Secretary Williams Banda, Central Region Football Association acting General Secretary Antonio Manda, Southern Region Football Association General Secretary Dyless Kachala, National Youth Football Association General Secretary James Sawerengera and Beach Soccer Association of Malawi General Secretary Wakisa Mwambetania.
FCB Head of Marketing Twikale Chirwa and Nico Group Head of Marketing Lorraine Mlenga are also in the committee.
This means only Banda (Williams) has survived from the previous committee.
