With the creative industry hungry for more content in different artistic forms, a new film titled Justice featuring a cast that includes fashionista and entrepreneur Dorothy Kingston, will be premiered at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe in June this year.
Directed by Adam Ogam and Bester Kauwa, Brazio Mathias Kanyong’o, who is part of the cast, said the film was inspired by a true story.
“It tells the story of a girl who was trafficked into exploitation and slavery by a taxi driver, who was under a syndicate. The film highlights the nature of human trafficking, being a syndicate where big names are involved,” he said.
Kanyong’o said the film had a budget of K8.5 million but the amount ballooned to K11 million following devaluation.
“We hope people will patronise the premiere and give us support. This is the beginning of more things to come,” he said.

Kanyong’o is not new in the film arena as he also starred in Kendall Kamwendo’s debut movie Where My Heart Belongs.
