Renowned writer Muthi Nhlema’s story The Piss Corpse has been named among Afrocritik’s 50 remarkable African Short Stories of 2025.
The list is however, limited to English language fiction from Africa according to the newsletter.
This is Muthi’s latest prose which has been described as electric and fizzy, accentuating the absurd in this delightful comedy of cross-cultural confusion.
Muthi said that The Piss Corpse is a marvelous work that debuted in the ZamaShort series this year.
“This means more to me, I have has always been drawn to storytelling,” he said.
