By Pemphero Malimba:

Inspector General of the Malawi Police Service Richard Luhanga has directed that there should not be traffic checks during peak hours.

He says the directive is aimed at ensuring that employees and students are not late for work and school, respectively, among others.

Spot checks in Lilongwe City this week have established that traffic officers are not present during peak hours at the spots they used to be.
