Malawi’s public institutions are facing questions whether they exist to serve ordinary citizens or they are just a preserve of some privileged individuals to enrich themselves illegally and use them to reward those who helped them gain power.
It follows a raft of Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) investigations involving recruitment, procurement and suspected abuse of resources in a number of state institutions across the various sectors.
