Mighty Wanderers President Thomson Mpinganjira has expressed excitement about his team’s head coach Bob Mpinganjira getting started at Scotland-based side Patrick Thistle FC.
The gaffer will spend three weeks there as he is a beneficiary of a coaching course attachment.
Bob joined Thistle as part of a professional development programme backed by the club’s leadership.
“I am too happy for him as this is a dream come true. We want to do everything possible to upgrade our coaches as we will be competing in the Caf Champions League again this season,” he said
Mpinganjira was in the stands on Friday as Partick Thistle claimed a commanding 3-1 victory over Ross County, his first taste of Scottish football up close.

He was accompanied by Thistle Sporting Director Ian Baraclough and coach Paul Goodwin throughout the visit.
The Wanderers coach departed Malawi on Wednesday, flying out through Bakili Muluzi International Airport in Blantyre.
Speaking before his departure, Mpinganjira outlined exactly what he hoped to take away from the experience.
“The knowledge I have gained from various courses is helpful but our counterparts in Scotland are often ahead of us tactically. I am eager to observe their preparation routines, post-game analyses and training methods as these are areas where we can improve,” Bob said.

The Nomads mentor expressed gratitude to those who made the trip possible.
“I would like to thank the president, management and directors for making this journey possible,” he said.
The three-week attachment is a deliberate investment by the Blantyre-based club in raising the tactical and coaching standards of its technical staff.
