Despite winning the 2025 TNM Super League championship with a match to spare, Mighty Wanderers have described the current campaign as one of the toughest ever.
Wanderers reclaimed the title on Saturday after thrashing Moyale Barracks 6-0 to amass 68 points from 29 matches, outclassing rivals and closest challengers FCB Nyasa Big Bullets with five points.
The team’s chief executive officer Panganeni Ndovi said they overcame challenges on numerous occasions but the technical panel and players were determined.
“The 2025 season was an exceptionally challenging
campaign. We experienced several setbacks and upsets in other competitions, which tested the character and depth of the club.

“However, the resilience shown by the players and the technical panel was remarkable. They remained focused, disciplined and committed to the league objective, and that collective determination ultimately delivered the TNM Super League title,” he said.
Ndovi said the team had achieved the main goal, which was to “make Mighty Mighty Again”.
“Ending an eight-year trophy drought is deeply significant for the Nomads family. It is both symbolic and restorative. It confirms that Mighty Wanderers FC is firmly back on its rightful path. This success reinforces our identity, renews belief among our supporters and marks a decisive step toward restoring the club to its historic stature, being truly Mighty again,” he said.
This is the eighth Super League championship for the Nomads.
