By Llywellenie Mpasa:

Mighty Wanderers FC have secured a K200 million sponsorship agreement with motorcycle dealers Kingbossi.

Speaking after signing the agreement in Blantyre Thursday, Wanderers Board Secretary Chancy Gondwe said the partnership will strengthen the club’s commercial operations, brand visibility and long-term competitiveness.

“This will strengthen our commercial operations, marketing structures, brand visibility and overall team performance both on and off the pitch as we continue to pursue sustainable growth.

“This partnership is not just about sponsorship, but also about building a strong foundation for the club’s future in terms of business growth, sustainability and competitiveness in modern football,” he said.

Gondwe said the agreement is expected to significantly boost the club’s marketing reach, fan engagement activities, administrative efficiency and financial stability as they continue to pursue success on and off the pitch in both domestic league and cup competitions.

Kingbossi Chief Executive Officer Siza Ngomero said the collaboration goes beyond traditional sponsorship, describing it as a strategic alignment between sport, business growth and community development initiatives.

“We know that through this partnership, Kingbossi will benefit from enhanced visibility by aligning itself with one of the country’s biggest and most supported football clubs, a move that significantly strengthens its brand exposure on the Malawian market,” Ngomero said.

She said with stronger financial backing and improved operational capacity, Wanderers are expected to build a more stable environment conducive to consistent results in domestic competitions and long-term sporting success.

“The provision of modern training kits, improved logistics and better working tools will enhance player preparation, recovery and professionalism within the squad,” Ngomero said.

Under the agreement, Kingbossi will inject a comprehensive K200 million package which includes a branded minibus van for club operations, modern laptops to enhance administrative efficiency and complete training kits for the playing squad to improve preparation and professionalism.

The deal also introduces a player of the week award designed to motivate players and enhance fan interaction.

This will see supporters being given the opportunity to vote for an outstanding player every week throughout the season, increasing engagement and loyalty.

In turn, Kingbossi will benefit from match-day kit advertising rights, giving the brand increased visibility during league and cup fixtures, thereby strengthening its market presence.

To deepen supporter involvement, four Kingbossi motorcycles will be used in raffle promotions aimed at boosting match attendance, enhancing excitement around fixtures and improving overall fan engagement throughout the campaign.

In a unique commercial extension, Mighty Wanderers FC (2021) Limited will also act as a distributing agent for Kingbossi motorcycles on a commission basis, opening an additional revenue stream for the club and further strengthening its business model beyond football operations
