Mighty Wanderers will receive $100,000 (about K173 million) from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) despite being eliminated in the first preliminary round of the Caf Champions League, the football authorities have confirmed.
The Nomads were knocked out of the competition after suffering a 7-1 aggregate defeat to Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club, losing 1-0 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe City before suffering a 6-1 baptism of fire in the return-leg match at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
