Kukoma Ntopwa have finished bottom in Group A at the ongoing Caf Women’s Champions League/ Cosafa Qualifier after suffering three defeats in three matches.
Ntopwa lost their last group stage match 5-3 to Zesco Ndola Girls at UJ AW Muller Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, Tuesday.
The defeat summed up their poor campaign at the qualifiers, having lost by 3-0 margins to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and Beauties FC in their opening two matches.
Eneless Phiri grabbed a brace for Ndola Girls whereas Avel Chitundu, Charity Mubanga and Milla Milambo scored a goal each.
Ntopwa launched a late comeback through Rose Alufandika, Kondawu Banda and Jessie Yosefe.

Alufandika scored with 10 minutes to full time before Banda scored the second goal at the dot of full time.
Yosefe scored the third goal in the 91st minute but it was too little and too late.
Ntopwa will return home with their heads down, having conceded 11 goals and scoring three goals in three matches.
Ntopwa Technical Director Isaac Jomo Osman said the players were demoralised due to lack of support.

“We were never supported back home. We participated in the tournament when our morale was already down,” he said.
This means Ntopwa have failed to win a match at the qualifiers in two attempts in 2023 and 2025. But in their debut appearance, they managed to get a point.
