Ntopwa Women Football Club is leaving no stone unturned in preparations for the 2023 Caf Champions League/Cosafa qualifier slated for August 30 to September 8 in Durban, South Africa.
The Amaghetto Queens have started full residential camp at Mpira Village ahead of the tournament, Ntopwa announced on their official website Tuesday.
Coach James Sangala said the girls are working hard in training.
“We are on the right [track] and we are training twice a day. We are very happy with the response of the players in camp,” Sangala said.
Ahead of the tournament, Ntopwa have roped in veteran striker Linda Kasenda from Civil Service United Women and Limbikani Chikupira from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women.

Sangala said both players have joined Amaghetto Queens on loan.
“We have beefed up the squad with some of the experienced players. We believe they will bring an impact,” he said.
Ntopwa were drawn in Group A of the competition alongside defending champions Green Buffaloes from Zambia, Double Action Ladies from Botswana and Lesotho Defence Force.
The Amaghetto Queens will start their campaign in Lesotho on August 30 at Sugar Ray Zulu Stadium before meeting Buffaloes two days later at the same venue.

They will wrap up their group stage campaign against Double Action on September 4 at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Ntopwa will be the first Malawian team to take part in the competition after Silver Strikers Ladies (formerly DD Sunshine) and Bullets Women failed to take part in two previous tournaments.
Group B comprises Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Young Buffaloes from eSwatini, Olympic de Moroni from Comoros and Costa do Sol from Mozambique.
Two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals of the competition.
Group A winner will face runner-up in Group B and vice versa.
The champions will qualify for the Caf Champions League finals to be staged in November this year.
