Last year’s TNM Super League Player of the Season Patrick Mwaungulu has said the 2024 season will not be easy.
Mwaungulu gave out five-star performances last season to help his team, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, sweep all the silverware on offer in the country.
Speaking ahead of Bullets’ league match against Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium on Monday, the former Bullets Reserve star said he was looking forward to performing well in every match he plays.
“It will not be an easy season but if we strive to do well, we can overcome the challenges we have been encountering this season. It is just a matter of time,” he told the Bullets website.
On his team’s slow start to the season, Mwaungulu said it was expected that teams would come very hard on the People’s Team after last season’s unprecedented success.

“It is something we anticipated because every team will be coming hard on us to prove a point since we won everything last season. We have done this before and we will fight to the end for our crown,” Bullets website quotes him as saying.
Mwaungulu has already scored four goals, with one assist, in six league matches this season.

Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa said the only way for Bullets to regain dominance over domestic football was for his players to start respecting all their opponents.
“It’s the attitude from our boys where, at times, they underrate teams. We need to be very careful,” he told .

Bullets will be lining up against Moyale straight from their 2-0 beating of Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.
Chawanangwa Gumbo scored the first goal while Mwaungulu netted the second.
The result saw Bullets cruising to second position with 13 points from seven matches.
