Central High International School Head of Arts Department and Events Prudence Dziopani said they were excited to bring the Food Festival having also held a number of events recently including the Sip and Paint.
Dziopani, who is also a visual artist, said as a school they decided to engage top artists such as Piksy and Zeze Kingston to give people maximum entertainment.
“As a school, we have charity projects that we do to reach out to the community around with various items like educational packs, computers, food items etc. For example, last year we donated sanitary packs to Makheta Primary School through a partnership with Flying Girls Malawi and so there is still more work to,” she said.
Dziopani said the Food Festival is one of the fundraising activities that they have rolled out amongst the other activities that they have lined up to generate funds to help them push their charity agenda.

“It is also a way of closing this academic year with a bang for our students, parents, teachers and the community surrounding us by bringing everybody together and celebrate the diversity in food from India, Africa, China, Pakistan and other English dishes,” Dziopani said.
She said that the Food Festival also has other activities such as quard bikes, face painting, jumping castles and games targeting children.
“We guarantee people an entertainment filled day and apart from music by Piksy and Zeze Kingston, we will also have performances from our music students,” Dziopani said.
