State-owned Electricity Generation Company (Egenco) has set an ambitious target to grow electricity generation and meet the demand by 2028. The government projects base case power demand to reach
774 megawatts by 2030, while high case demand is projected at 1,291 megawatts as a number of industrial projects are in the pipeline.
