National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Women’s Premiership defending champions Silver Strikers Ladies and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women maintained their perfect start to the 2026 campaign after winning their respective matches Wednesday.
Silver Ladies registered their third consecutive victory with a 3-0 thumping of MDF Lionesses at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe City yesterday.
Similarly, Bullets Women thrashed debutants Fact Ladies 3-1 at Nankhaka Stadium, also in Lilongwe City, yesterday.
The two teams are only separated by goal difference on the log table as each has nine points from three matches.

At Civo Stadium in Lilongwe yesterday, Carolyne Mathyola opened the floodgates in the 44th minute before Grace Kakagula and Madyina Ngulube scored a goal each in the second half.
It was sweet revenge for Silver after Lionesses ended their unbeaten run last season. Silver Ladies Coach Shadreck Chikhosi said he was pleased with the win, saying it was a statement of intent.
“Things are looking good for us after three victories. This is what we planned. We now focus on the next assignment,” Chikhosi said.
At Nankhaka Stadium, Vanessa Issa (own goal), Martha Christopher and Mary Chabvinda were on target for Bullets before Evelyn Dallas ended Bullets Women’s clean sheet in the campaign.

Bullets Women Coach Maggie Chombo said the girls showed great character.
“We told the players not to underrate the team. We knew that they would come hard on us but the girls showed great determination,” Chombo said.
Action will continue today as debutants Rumphi Sisters are set to face Kukoma Ntopwa at Rumphi Stadium in Rumphi District whereas Mighty Wanderers Queens will meet Ascent Soccer Academy at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre City.
