By Pemphero Malimba:
A group of teachers, operating under the banner Concerned Teachers of Malawi, has given Teachers Union of Malawi (Tum) leaders seven days to resign, citing failure to advance teachers’ welfare.
The group also faults lack of transparency and accountability in the management of affairs.
This is contained in a letter dated April 3, 2026.
The letter, signed by the group’s acting chairperson Youssef Chindamba and secretary general Azeez Losa, is addressed to the Tum secretary general and copied to the director of the Anti- Corruption Bureau.
