Bullets acting Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga, speaking during the unveiling of the team’s new head coach Peter Mponda on Tuesday, bemoaned the team’s last season’s form.
Chigoga said competing in different competitions help the club to expand revenue points.
“We have to accept that we were not at our best last season but we are hopeful that with the coming in of our head coach Peter Mponda we will bounce back stronger this season,” Chigoga said.
Silver Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba was yet to respond to our questionnaire whereas his Wanderers counterpart Panganeni Ndovi said they cannot complain having won a cup and finished second in the league.
“We are looking at improving from our current position next season and do much better. We had a chance of winning the league but we cannot talk about that now let us focus on next season,” Ndovi said.
Meanwhile, former Wanderers midfielder Sherry Msuku, has predicted a tough 2025 season.
“It would be tight and highly competitive as Silver would want to continue where they left and Wanderers for sure will also be gunning for the title. On the other hand while Bullets after a very bad season will come harder this time around,” he said
This season is expected to start in March.
