Reggae group Tuff Lions Band is expected to play for renowned Jamaican reggae musicians Luciano and Everton Blender during the 2023 Reggae Jam Festival.
Organised by Jah Kings Promotions, the festival will be held at the Grand Business Park in Lilongwe on October 28 2023.
Luciano, popularly known as The Messenger and Blender, are expected to share the stage with two other international acts— Q Shan Deyah and IQulah Rastafari.
Local artists at the concert will include Queen Fyah, Don Tarz, Black Missionaries, Jedde I, Blasto and Anne Matumbi.
Tuff Lions Band Logistics Manager Elder Chesterfari said the team was excited with the opportunity to back up Luciano and Blender and was looking forward to doing a “fine job”.

“When we established the band, our focus was on playing for international reggae icons who come and do shows in Malawi while supporting reggae artists in the country,” Elder Chesterfari said.
Last year, the band backed up Jamaican artists Turbulence and Tydal Kamau.
The band, which last year had a stint performing with dancehall star Blasto in Zanzibar, was among the few reggae acts that starred at the 13th edition of the Sand Music Festival at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi last weekend.
