Malawi Under-20 National Football Team Coach Bob Mpinganjira has named a strong 30-member provisional squad for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon)/Cosafa qualifier later this month.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 26 to October 5 in Maputo, Mozambique.
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) announced the squad that is expected to start camp training at Mpira Village Monday.
Mpinganjira has retained 16 players that helped him win the Four Nations Tournament held at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe in March this year.
The players include Hermas Masinja Mwisho Mhango (both Ascent Academy), Chrispin Mapemba (FCB Nyasa Big Bullets), Dan Kudonto (Mighty Mukuru Wanderers), Emmanuel Saviel (Mufulira Wanderers, Zambia) and Masambero Kalua (Mighty Tigers).
